Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants - The Windrush Justice Fund

Summary

In June 2019 the JCWI launched the Windrush Justice Fund in partnership with the Mayor of London to provide small grants and support to community groups and projects working with those affected by the Windrush Scandal. The general public raised £20,000 in response to the scandal which was then matched by the Mayor of London. Small grants of between £200 and £2,000 are available to grassroots organisations and projects. These microgrants are expected to help organisations reach people affected by the Windrush crisis to resolve their immigration status, rebuild their lives and access hardship or compensation funds
