Regional Screen Scotland is the development agency for access to the cinema-going experience in remote, rural, coastal and under-provided communities throughout Scotland. The role of the organisation is to provide: Advocacy and leadership for cinema; Expert and specialist advice to organisations concerned with cinema provision; Capacity building through training, seminars etc; Funding for cinema and audience development; and delivery of a rural cinema service principally through operation of Screen Machine mobile cinema. RSS is financially supported by Creative Scotland. Screen Machine is additionally funded by Highlands & Islands Enterprise and sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland
