The Youth Scotland Rural Action Fund is a Micro Grant fund being supported by The Robertson Trust and The Gannochy Trust. This fund has been created in response to the challenges which rural youth groups are facing in funding the delivery of community based universal youth work. It will make small awards to enable youth groups operating in rural communities to provide more and/or better youth work opportunities for young people.

The Auchrobert Community Fund is funded by Falck Renewables from its Auchrobert wind farm in South Lanarkshire. The fund supports projects located within or directly benefiting the area of Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill and Boghead. Projects may be focused on general community activity or services/activities for specific groups (e.g.: families, older people, younger people, those with particular needs). However all projects must clearly be benefiting those who live within part or all of the area of benefit. Awards can support a wide range of costs and activities including equipment costs, running costs for local groups, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations, maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities.

The purpose of the CWFF is to provide funding to Communities, within the local Wind Farm area, for capital projects which will result in a range of local benefits for local people including employment and/or education opportunities and support the local economic prosperity of South Lanarkshire. Projects in the following community council areas can apply: Biggar, Crawford and Elvanfoot, Duneaton, Leadhills, Quothquan and Thankerton and Sympington.

This charitable fund is provided by Infinis, the developer of the Galawhistle Wind Farm, located in South Lanarkshire. The Fund supports community projects benefitting those living in Douglas (incorporating Glespin and surrounding areas) and/or Coalburn community council areas. It supports positive change by investing in a wide range of inspirational, community-led activity that is strategic, positive and creative and helps deliver a legacy of lasting impact. Applications are expected to address one or more of the following outcomes: help people into work; improve local transport; improve quality of life, health and well-being ; build capacity for local groups and individuals; building sustainable community assets, including capital assets (like land and buildings), community enterprises, local exchange systems, people’s skills and abilities, culture and the local environment.

This fund is for capital projects within 10km of a participating renewable energy development. It currently applies to the wind farms at Whitelee, Pates Hill, Stallashaw and Blacklaw. It will usually fund long-term projects to acquire, develop, improve and/or maintain a capital asset such as land, buildings or roads. Your project must meet one or more of the following priorities: to secure investment, create employment, provide training, promote or secure sustainable development; to relieve poverty, advance education and other social purposes beneficial to an eligible community; to preserve, protect or enhance the environment or heritage of Scotland, including any building; to promote and encourage environmental improvement or enhancement including the provision or upgrading of infrastructure; to provide or help provide facilities for recreation or other leisure activities.

The main aims of the Community Grants Scheme are to fund activities and projects which bring community benefit and involve people in the community by bringing them together to enjoy educational, recreational, leisure and other community activities or improve local environment. Organisations running local gala events and summer festivals can apply for financial help and "in kind" assistance in the run up to and during these events. They can provide support for playschemes are run by parents and volunteers to provide activities for children during school holidays.
