Arts grant-making trust looks to 2022

Scops Arts Trust has re-opened for grant applications for projects taking place in 2022.

Since the Trust was established in 2019, the majority of its funding has been awarded to projects and organisations which focus on music education for children and young people. But for 2022, the Trust is looking to support more projects aimed at adults and projects for all generations.

Chris Arnold, Chair of Trustees said, “Much of the support we have given so far has been to young people’s projects and we are more than happy to have made a difference there. But for next year, my fellow Trustees and I would like to help more adults to access the arts, whether performing themselves or watching / listening to others. We want to help
organisations to introduce people to a wide range of the arts, encouraging participation, learning and enjoyment. We are conscious that there are many people in communities across the UK who have little opportunity to experience the arts, whether this is due to social or economic reasons or because they live in more remote areas. Scops Arts Trust
would like to support charitable organisations who have plans to bring the arts to wider audiences in 2022.”

Scops Arts Trust awards grants throughout the UK, from a few hundred pounds up to £30,000. There is a two-stage process with applications for Stage 1 being invited until the deadline on Wednesday 3 November at 12 noon.
