South Lanarkshire Charitable Trust comprises 50 charitable trusts funds/bequests established under previous local authorities. Each trust fund/bequest is restricted for the purpose it was set up.

Support is available for organisations benefiting foreign missionaries and older people in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
King George V Wind Turbine Fund
The fund covers several communities including Crathes, Durris, Drumoak, Banchory, Finzean, Strachan, Torphins, Lumphanan and Inchmarlo. Priorities include participation in education, sport and arts, social inclusion, sustainable developments.

Grants are available to community groups or for projects which have future long term benefit for the community.
Andrew & Mary Elizabeth Little Charitable Trust
Provides relief and direct assistance to aged, infirm, blind, poor, impoverished, distressed or sick person or persons with preference for the City of Glasgow. Funds are given to individuals and organisations.
The Scottish Hydro Electric Community Trust
Not-for-profit community projects can apply for up to 50% of the costs of an electricity connection within the Scottish Hydro-Electric Distribution area, particularly those in rural areas.

North Ayrshire Council has a number of Charitable Trusts for particular towns and villages which are intended to provide assistance to those in need. Priorities vary by each area.
Scottish Education And Action For Development - SEAD Fund
SEAD provides small grants for individuals or groups for positive action, and campaigning. Focus areas are: women’s rights, young people and their global rights, climate justice, inequality, poverty and health justice.
Help for Kids
Supports local children or causes concerning local children, who are vulnerable or disadvantaged through either social and economic circumstances or through health and disability in Dundee and the surrounding area.
Sir Iain Stewart Foundation
The fund has broad purposes, but favours children, older people and small, local projects.
